Need for all orphanage
Background
Need for all is a home looking after children that have been abandoned in hospitals and on road sides. The home was started in
2005 by a probational officer of Kampala city council. Need for all is a home to over 15 kids that are of ages, 1-8 years. Some of the children have
lost parents to HIV/AIDS while some have parents that abandoned them.
Aim
The aim is to give basic care and support to the abandoned children and give them a chance to develop in to responsible citizens of
Uganda.

Volunteer task
- Care for orphans
- Nutritional support
- Counseling
- Prevention work in communities, schools and workplaces
- Volunteers may also may also be involved in treatment of patients if their have a medical background.
Volunteer qualities
- Should be will to be innovative with games and different things to do with the children
- Emotionally strong because the conditions at the orphanage are poor

Working hours
The orphanage is flexible and therefore allowing the volunteers to be there at the different times and also get involved in other
projects.
Transport
The home is in Kampala. It will take 45min to get there by public means.

The place require a volunteer that is ready to face emotional challenges because the home has little funding making the living
conditions there poor
Communication
The children are young and therefore speak only a few words in the local language.
